Brian
Gorman was born in Wigan, and now resides in
Salford
after working in theatre and
independent film in
Chester
for 15 years.
As
a writer he has reviewed theatre and film for The
Liverpool
Daily Post and The Big Issue,
and has interviewed many actors including Dennis Waterman and Patrick
Mower, plus oscar-winning cinematographer and film director Freddie
Francis.
His
comic book influences are Arthur Ranson, Bryan Talbot, John Byrne,
Barry Kitson, Richard Piers Rayner, and Gary Spencer Millidge.
Brian’s illustrations have appeared on the cover of ‘Green
World’ (the magazine of The
UK
Green Party), posters for The
Chester Gateway Theatre, and in The
Liverpool
Daily Post. Recently, he has
produced a full page Kaldor City illustration for ‘Shelf Life’
(Published by Factor Fiction), a 2 page promotional comic strip for
the award-winning short film ‘Anno Domini’ (Jemstone
Entertainment), and the short strip ‘Reapers’ (Unico Collections).
Brian also created, wrote & drew the ‘pilot’ issue of
‘Borderliners: Ceremony Of Innocence’ (Unico Publishing) which
garnered rave reviews from some of the top names in the industry.
