This was without a doubt the most ambitious project we have undertaken. 'Twelve' tells the twelve labours of Heracles (or Hercules if you prefer), but in a way that is not necessarily traditional. We left it to each contributor to take the tale wherever he or she wanted.
And that's where the problems lie. We need all twelve tales in order to complete the book. We could call it 'Eleven' as it'd lose the whole concept. Pulling this anthology together became the Thirteenth Labour, as people were late, and even in one case failed to deliver at all, requiring a last minute fill in (although you'd be hard pushed to tell which one it was). But in the end the result was worth it, and something we are very proud of.
Someone suggested 'TEN' as the next anthology title, based on the Ten Commandments, but I think I'll leave that one to someone else.
